The Live Book - Women for Women was the event which took place in the Wave Club in Presov on 12th of April, 2017 in order to celebrate The World Roma Day. The guests were Mgr. Ildiko Gorova and Mgr. Gabriela Gaborova from the Vtackovce village. I. Gorova is a teacher at the local elementary school, G. Gaborova is the coordinator of the field social work, employed by the Office of Plenipotentiary of the SR Government for Romani communities.
The music guest was The Arpi Farkas Jazz Trio (Arpad Farkas - the piano, Angela Farkas - the singer, Adrian Sajko - double-bass)

The Gypsy Party

The Gypsy Bashavel (The Gypsy Party) is the festival of Romani culture which started in 2009 as one of the projects carried out by the Association Wild Poppy. It provides space for presentation of many of the amateur and professional Romani ensembles as well as for the stipend beneficiaries of Wild Poppy Association - the talented Romani children from all aver Slovakia. The festival is of multicultural character, organised in open-air setting. The event was recorded on 29th of August, 2013.

Lýdia Gabčová

Mgr. Lydia Gabcova graduated from the University of Konstantiv the Philospher in Nitra, specialization in the social work. After graduation she continued her education during her internships with Council of Europe and European Commission. Specialization in the Romani language was the field she studied at the University of Manchester in Great Britain. Currently, she works as the project manager of many projects ofocused on integration of Roma. The Devilish Violin Orchestra

Jan Berky Mrenica and the Devilish Violin Orchestra, in cooperation with the Romani Association in Poland presented the concert named Music Without Borders. There played Jan Berky-Mrenica, The Devilish Violin Orchestra, Jozef Mernstein Jochymczyk from Poland and the students of the Private Middle School in Kezmarok. The concert was recorded on 2nd of December, 2013 in Kezmarok.

Romathan - A Golden Horseshoe

The theater performance for children and youth, performed on 6th of December, 2013 in the Romathan Theater. The fairy-tale is built upon the dramatic situations which occure when the magical world of the magical beings meet the real world of people. The main message of the tale is to teach the kids that love and friendship are a person's biggest fortune.

Zaneta Stipakova - Speaking

Zaneta Stipakova graduated from the Middle School of Arts in Kosice where she specialized in music and dramatic arts. She finished higher middle education there. She worked as a voice pedagogue in The Private Conservatoir in Prague and later as a teacher's assistant in elementary school in Kosice.
Currently, she is a member of the Romathan Theater. She is the actress, singer, director and also she writes her own dramas.
The interview is about her personal and professional life as well as about the Romani culture.

Balvalfest (The Wind Festival)

The video recording of the 13th Romani festival, recorded in 2013 in Kokava upon Rimavica. The festival presents traditional Romani music as well as modern musical genres. Every year the organisers of the festival invite the performers both from Slovakia and other countries. The video is the cut of the live performances presenting traditional and popular Romani music, the interview with the festival organisor Vladimir Sendrei is added to the final edition.

Roman Goroľ - Cold Touch of Lost Morning

Roman Gorol was born on 15th of August, 1969, in Vranov nad Toplou. He is married, has three sons, works as a teaching assistant at the Elementary School in the village Caklov, where he lives. Roman Gorol graduated from the Pedagogical Faculty of the Presov University in Presov, as the bachelor of pedagogy. Roman Gorol loves literature, both poetry and prose. In his young years he began writing short poems about life, emotions, love. His art of word is present in the book of poems titled “Cold Touch of Lost Morning”, published by the State Research Library in Presov, 2016, illustrated by Martin Kaleja Januv. Four poems of the collection were translated in Romani and English languages by Erika Godlova. The video recorded on December 1st, 2016, introduces the author of the book of poems, some of his poems as well as the illustrator Martin Kaleja Januv, whose talent in fine arts is also pictured in the video. Stanislav Cina - The Wood-curver

Stanislav Cina's short talk about carving in a pastoral center in the village of Čičava. The Roma Pastoral Center covers the formation and missionary service in the Roma communities, especially in the Vranov district. Through the Civic Association Hot Team, they implemented a project of a protected workshop in 2012, employing handicapped Roma from Vranov nad Topľou. Within the sheltered workshops, they have been devoting themselves to the works of wood-curving under the direction of Milan Krajniak. Their main inspiration was taken from the religious themes.

Šarlota Bottová - The Portrait of the Painter

Šarlota Bottová (1989-) is an artist from Rimavská Baňa in Hnúšťa. She graduated from the Secondary Technical School in Rimavska Sobota, in the cosmetics department. In the field of fine arts, her main focus is drawing the portraits. Šarlota Bottová exhibited her works in Prague (2016) in the gallery Phundrado vudar (Open Doors), at the exhibition of amateur Roma artists AraArt, in Košice (2017) in the Važecká Exchanger, in Hnúšta (2017) at the Library of Prof. Štefan Pasiar and in Rimavská Baňa. The drawing depicts the portrait of the British actor, musician and writer James Hugh Calum Laurie.
