Anička Oláhová - The Portrait

Anička Oláhová became recognized by public in 2011, after she won the singing contest organized by Dorota Nvotová (a well-known Slovak singer, actress and publicist), the jury consisted of members of the Gypsy Devils ensamble. The interview with the young talented singer introduces the portrait of a girl with not so typical family background, her attitude to art, music, to her own identity as well as her expectations from future. Woodcarvers from Bretka

A short video portrait about two amateur carvers - a father and a son who live and work in the village of Bretka (Rožňava district). Vojtech Váradi worked there as shepherd, carving became his hobby, when spending a lot of time with cattle out on pasture, he began carving from pieces of wood. He has three sons, but only one of them is involved in carving - Boris Váradi. In the video, they present their products and their carving technology. They carve mainly birds, but also utility objects such as spoons, ladles, boars. Carving is a source of livelihood for them.

Tamás András Szegedi

Tamás András Szegedi is an actor, director, theater pedagogue and activist, playing in theaters since 2010. In 2018 he graduated from the Hungarian Theater and Film Academy as a drama instructor. He works as a drama pedagogue in The Independent Theater Hungary, also he is a teacher of disadvantaged children. He directed several chamber theater performances, monodramas and puppet theater performances, with strong social critical message.  He is also a human rights activist, trying to contribute to social equality improvement and empowerment of disadvantaged groups.

Emilia Lovas

Emilia Lovas is a theater artist, pedagogue and activist. In 2009 she participated at Karavan Art Academy where, after meeting a theater producer Rodrigó Balogh, got the leading role in Feather Picking, the drama played in The Independent Theater Hungary. Later, she graduated from the Pester Hungarian Theater Academy. Since 2015 she acts in various theaters, recently started dubbing and directing. Among her other activities is teaching the disadvantaged children arts, and activism in the field of human rights.

The song Namaren man (Don't Beat Me) comes from the repertoire of a Romani singer from the former Yugoslavia, Šaban Bajramovič (April 16, 1936 - June 8, 2008), who sang it under the name Pira mange korkoro (Wandering the World Alone). The composition is composed in the specific style of Balkan Roma jazz. Performed by Sabrosa, with slight melodic and textual adjustments, it is folklorized.
