Jan Sajko paints the Romani motives on the wooden plates since 1986. He collects waste wood, preferably with some imperfections which determine the course of future painting. His most common motives are the faces of Romani women and girls, dances, musicians. The most used technique is tempera on wood.
Since the year 1986 Jan Sajko works as teacher of arts at Elementary School in Jarovnice.
The painting on wooden pane with dimensions of 35,5 cm (width of the widest part) x 30,3 cm (height) x 2,5 cm (thick). The upper and down side is cut clean. The right side keeps the structure of bark, the left side is cut to angle of 45 degrees. The motive is a female dancer in the meadow. The painting was created in 2010.
