Jan Sajko paints the Romani motives on the wooden plates since 1986. He collects waste wood, preferably with some imperfections which determine the course of future painting. His most common motives are the faces of Romani women and girls, dances, musicians. The most used technique is tempera on wood.
Since the year 1986 Jan Sajko works as teacher of arts at Elementary School in Jarovnice.
The painting is made on wood with dimensions of 22 cm (in the widest part) x 28.5 cm (height). Wood thickness is 2.5 cm. The left side has a bark structure in part. The remaining sides are trimmed evenly. The motive of painting is a girl in a Romani costume in the meadow. The painting was created in 2010.
