Milan Berky (1961-) comes from Lučenec. He worked on the railway since 1979, after 35 years of work he lost his job. Being unemployed, he began to draw portraits. His portraits also reached Pope Francis and the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová. His drawing - a portrait of an Iraqi statesman, is used on postage stamps of Iraq. In addition to portraits, he also draws nudes. He exhibits not only in Slovakia, but also abroad.
In 2023, the Fund for the Promotion of the Culture of National Minorities of the Slovak Republic supported his exhibition of 30 portraits depicting Roma men and women from cultural, social and sporting life.
The drawings are in the B2 format. The technique used is charcoal drawing. Each portrait is signed with the author's signature and with the date. The portraits are framed.
