The author of the instrumental composition named Hora di Mars is a Romanian composer of Romani origin Grigoraș Ionică Dinicu (April 3, 1889, Bucharest – Marec 28, 1949, Bucharest). The composition Gypsy Dance is an adaptation of a folk song by Ján Gašpar Hrisko (June 14, 1921, Očová - June 13, 1980, Brno). J. G. Hrisko was a Slovak musician, dulcimer player, editor of folk songs of Romani origin. From 1948 he was a dulcimer player of SĽUK, from 1955 a member of the orchestra and soloist of the Brno Radio Orchestra of Folk Instruments in Czechoslovak Radio in Brno. The composition is played in the key of F minor and was created as background music for the audio dramatization Rysavá Jalovica by Martin Kukučín. At the beginning of the composition, the musical instrument dulcimer dominates, at the end, the violin takes the dominance over.
