The digital object consists of 8 pieces of art work by the pupils from the Elementary School, Jarovnice 192, which were taken out and sent to the international fine arts competitions.
The authors of the works are the following students: Damián Giňa (7.D), Vanesa Popušová-Giňová (5.D), Marianna Červeňáková (4.B), Jaroslava Kalejová (7.A), Jakub Popuša (4.B), Marianna Červeňáková (4.A), Kevin Giňa (6.C), Jozef Gabčo (4.A)
The works' motives are portraits of human faces. The pupils use the tempera painting. The school is known for getting many awards for the fine arts works, both at home and abroad (i.e. India, Japan, Portugal, USA, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Macedonia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iran...). Thel pupils are taught by the teacher Mgr. Jan Sajko. Their independent exhibitions took place in many cities, such as Washington D.C., Boston, Palm Beach, Hannover, Strassbourg, Brussels, Graz, Warsaw, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Cracow, Bratislava, Kosice, Martin, Presov, Sabinov. Young authors come from socially disadvantaged communities.

Roman Goroľ - speaking

The interview with Bc. Roman Goroľ was done in 2013 in Presov by Ing. Igor Duzda. Bc. Roman Gorol was born in the village of Caklov in the district of Vranov upon Topla. There he lives and works as a teacher's assistant in the local elementary school. The main topics of the interview are his motivation for his own personal development, family background and passion for literature inherited from his parents, the state of the Romani community in Caklov, his work and writings. Bc. Gorol is the active writer, writing poetry. The interview is done in the Romani language, it is divided into several chapters based on the leading topic of the speaking.

Zoltán Duda - speaking

The interview was done in the year 2013 in Presov by Ing. Igor Duzda. He interviewed Mr. Zoltan Duda, born in the year 1940 in Sabinov. Taking into account the current age of Mr. Zolan Duda, he belongs among the Romani elders. The interview reflects his memories of events and society changes after the year 1945 in the form of the memories passed to him by his parents - his parents' memories of the 2nd World War and its consequences on the life of the Romani community in Sabinov. The memories of the social changes after the year 1989 are personal. Zoltan Duda provides information as a memeber of the Romani community in Sabinov, as well as a long time member of the City Council, before the member of the Local National Comittee. The interview is done in Romani language, divided into several chapters based on the main topic of speaking.

Ladislav Duda - speaking

The interview with Mgr. Ladislav Duda was done in 2013 by Ing. Igor Duzda. Mgr. Ladislav Duda was born in 1982 in Sabinov. The first part of the interview is focused on the topics of his personal development, education, motivations and relations within his Romani community. Other parts are discussing the topics related to the public performance of Mgr. Duda in the field of social affairs, especially his work as the social field worker. The last part of the interview is describing of the current state of the Romani community in Sabinov, development in the field of culture, traditions preservation and at last but not least, rather diverse religious life of the community. The interview is done in the Romani language and is divided into the chapters based on the leading topic discussed there.

Ivan Akimov - Romani Culture

Ivan Akimov, the musician with a Russian roots, growing up in France, living in Kežmarok, Slovak republic, professional leader of artistic ensemble for children Kesaj čhave. For his long lasting work in an artistic field, he was awarded by the Ambassador of France to Slovakia and he obtained the National order of merit, statute of Knight. Ivan Akimov comments on Romani culture in Slovakia, its value and importance for entire society.

Helena Jonášová - Speaking

Helena Jonášová - My Life. Duo Farsa - Filip

The video recording contains the public performance of a guitar duo, Duo Farsa. The guitar duo plays self composed emotional songs of different genres, with a dominance of spanish rhythms of flamenco. Duo is composed of two virtuoso Roma musicians, František Godla and Dušan Onody from Sabinov. This song got its name after the cajonist, former band member named Filip. It´s also a tribute to Jaroslav Filip (famous Slovak musician), who worked with the very similar melodics and due to the unverified informations had Roma ancestors.
