Zaneta Stipakova, an actress and singer from the Theater Romathan, sings a song Nobody's Like You, Lord, from the repertoir of the singer and preacher of the London Gypsy Church (www.lguck.com), Ricardo Kwiek. The lyrics is inspired by the biblical psalm. The language of the lyrics is Romani, the Kalderash dialect. The singer is accompanied by the professional pianist, a teacher at the elementary music schools, a composer and a Romani hip-hop performer Miroslav Rac, whose artistic pseudonym is BG. The video was recorded on 24th of August, 2015 in Presov, at the event titled Live Book: word - picture - sound, organized by the State Research Library in Presov, as commemoration of the Romani holokaust.

Sabrosa - Romani Girl

Romani Girl is a song still considered the anthem of Slovak Roma. It relates to the period of the Second World War and the suffering of the Roma in labor and concentration camps. It's a slow and sad song. The Sabrosa band retains the rhythm and character of this song. The vocal-instrumental group Sabrosa was formed in the village of Raslavice in the district of Bardejov. It originally consisted of three singers and instrumentalists. At present, Sabrosa performs as a sister duo: Aneta Duždová - lead singer, Jana Duždová - guitar, singing.Musicians: Július Hudi (dulcimer), Alexander Bunda (viola), Vojto Bunda (double-bass), Miloš Goroľ (violin).

When studying in Barcelona he was introduced to the local Romani style flamenco, what greatly influenced his later performance. The songs of the album were meant as a tribute to the composer Maurice Ravel.

The digital cultural object is the video recording of him interpreting the Buleria composition. “Bulería” is the most characteristic flamenco style of Jerez de la Frontera (the hometown of flamenco, Andalusia, Spain). It is generally composed of three or four eight-syllable verses. This is one of the most complex dancing and guitar styles: bustling, happy and cheerful. Bulerías constitute an usuall dance to finish all flamencos parties.

Tomáš Botló - a singer and musician, playing amateur guitar, playing piano mostly, studied at the State conservatory in Bratislava. He writes his own songs, he built his recording studio at home where he proved being an excellent sound mixer. Tomas mixis Romani music with modern genres such as jazz, funk, hip-hop, latino, flamenco, pop and this kind of genre syncretism makes him multi-cultural and multi-genre musician. He cooperated with several Slovak as well as foreign rappers and artists. The song sung by Tomáš Botló "I am fine" is a cover version /Zámbó Jimmy/. Lyrics by Tomáš Botló. The song is sung with guitar playing, at the social hall of the cultural house in Hubice, district of Dunajská Streda.
