Juraj Goroľ comes from the village of Hlinné. He graduated from a two-year agricultural school. When he saw the work of the carver Milan Krajňák, he liked it and wanted to try it too. Most of his works are Christian themed, depicting mainly the face of Jesus, or the cross.
The photographs were taken in 2013 during the documentation of the ROMA ART Čičava craft workshop. The sheltered workshop was established in 2012, initiated by Martin Mekel.
