Kvetoslava Podhradská was born in Ostrovany nearby Sabinov. When 7 years old she together with ther family, moved to Ostrava-Poruba. She started writing when attending the secondary school. She is a member of the Club of the Romani Authors Paramisara, within the organisation Slovo 21. She is the author of several short stories in which she reflects the historical experience of her family and shares her memories of childhood. In 2022, her children's book titled Talking While Making Plum Jam was published, receiving several awards since. The memoirs mention her childhood in Slovakia as well as her life in Czech Republic. She speaks about the Romani language, about "romipen", sar chudľas te pisinel, pal lakri literarno buťi. The photo was taken during a video recording of the interview on November 6, 2023 in the premises of the State Scientific Library in Prešov.
