Eva Danišová grew up in Česká Třebová, where she still lives, and in addition to working for Czech Railways, she began translating for various Romani periodicals. She graduated from the Social and Legal Academy and worked as a social and field worker, while also being involved in projects to support the Romani language. Since the 1990s, she has been publishing short stories and fairy tales that have appeared in magazines, anthologies and separate books, including the children's title Jekh, duj, trin! (2024). She received the Milena Hübschmannová Award (2017) for her work for Romani culture and language.
