RNDr. Miroslav Pollák - his involvement in the Romani issues started in 1998 as cooperation with several non-governmental and non-profit organisations. His research activities are focused on the study of social economy, community development, the poverty issues and systemic solutions to the social status of the marginalized groups. From 2010 to 2012 he served as the Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic government for the Romani communities. He has been active in the field of humnag rights for many years. As and activist and the chairman of the Krásny Spiš Civic Association, he designs and implements projects focused on violence and unfreedom during the 20th century. He organized dozens of exhibitions on the topic of exoduses and nationalities in Slovakia. He initiated the construction of a memorial to the victims of exodus in Slovakia and published several books in the field of human rights. Engaged cultural activities with a societal impact are carried out by him within the association Živá kultura.
