Štefan Cína's Folk Music Band is a musical ensemble composed of four musicians, founded in 2007. The founder was Štefan Cína senior. Today, the band consists of: Martina Ďuriková Cínová (violin, vocals), Štefan Cína Jr. (accordion, guitar, vocals), Štefan Vansač (dulcimer, vocals) and Peter Pavlík (double bass, vocals). Štefan Cína's folk music repertoire consists of traditional songs from all over Eastern Slovakia, but also Central Slovak and West Slovak songs. The video records the band playing the Roma songs: Kale topanki, lole sandalki; Nane cocha, nane gad/Black Shoes, Red Sandals; No Skirt, No Shirt. This record was created on November 15, 2019 at one of a series of events organized by the State Scientific Library in Prešov under the title "Living Books".

Alexander Daško's dulcimer band plays the Roma sad song (halgato) Aušvicate o kher baro/There is Big House in Auschwitz. The band was formed in 1992 in Banská Bystrica. The band's repertoire consists of Romani, Slovak and other nations’ folk music as well as operetta and film melodies. The band has released several CDs. The lead violinist is Alexander Daško. Dulcimer - Dezider Oláh Axman. Viola - Otto Daniš (Buli). Double bass - Jozef Berky (Kangaroo). Accordion - Štefan Bučko (Kefa). Alexander Daško founded the Lavuta Private Elementary Art School in Banská Bystrica, he is a music teacher. Every year, A. Daško organizes the festival of Roma culture in Banská Bystrica, called Gypsy Fire.

Teri Čikoš comes from Bratislava based family of musician dedicated to music for generations already. She carries on and continues the tradition successfully. She plays the piano, guitar, she is a student of Music and Dramatic Arts at the Conservatory. In the same time she is a teacher of singing at the Elementary School of Arts. Her single titled Pozri (Look) achieved a place among top ten most played songs on Slovak radio stations. She gives concerts with her own music group, moderates and keeps making a well designed place for herself in the field of pop culture in Slovakia.

Rómska interaktívna hudobná rozprávka Čirikloro alebo Čo hovorí vtáčik vznikla na motívy rozprávky Mileny Hübschmannovej pod režijnou taktovkou Davida Tišera. Rozprávka je určená pre deti mladšieho školského veku. Táto dramatická hra približuje rómsku kultúrnu tradíciu, slovesnosť a múdrosť starých Rómov. Je pravda iba jedna, alebo máme všetci svoju pravdu? To je otázka, na ktorú sa snažia nájsť odpoveď protagonisti tejto hudobnej rozprávky z produkcie ARA ART.

Aktuálny stav rómskych štúdií na Slovensku I.

V rokoch 2019 a 2020 usporiadala Štátna vedecká knižnica v Prešove ‒ dokumentačno-informačné centrum rómskej kultúry dve konferencie na témy súvisiace s rómskou kultúrou a romistickým výskumom na Slovensku.
Prvá konferencia ‒ Kultúra Rómov v digitálnom prostredí bola realizovaná 20. novembra 2019 v spolupráci s Metodicko-pedagogickým centrom v Prešove. Cieľom odborného podujatia bolo zhromaždiť na jednom mieste výskumníkov, kulturológov, antropológov, knihovníkov a múzejníkov, ktorí sa vo svojej práci venujú rómskej kultúre a prezentujú ju prostredníctvom digitálneho priestoru širokej verejnosti. Záznam z konferencie sa postupne spracováva a bude dostupný na portáli Štátnej vedeckej knižnice v Prešove, Dokumentačno-informačného centra rómskej kultúry www.portalsvk.sk.
Časť príspevkov, ktoré odzneli na stretnutí je súčasťou tohto zborníka.
Druhá konferencia – Aktuálny stav rómskych štúdií na Slovensku prebehla v online priestore dňa 4. decembra 2020. Dokumentačno-informačné centrum realizovalo podujatie v spolupráci s Ústavom rómskych štúdií Prešovskej univerzity v Prešove. Tematicky bolo zamerané na rómske štúdiá v oblasti vzdelávacej, jazykovej, literárnej, sociálnej, kultúrnej (televízia, divadlo, digitálne prostredie). Cieľom podujatia bola prezentácia výsledkov vedecko-výskumnej a odbornej činnosti v zadefinovaných tematických okruhoch: Školstvo a vzdelávanie, jazyk a literatúra, Regionálne dejiny písané Rómami/regionálne dejiny Rómov v digitálnom prostredí, Autorská tvorba, divadlo a televízia a Sociálna oblasť.

Róbert Rigó - The Stand for Vegetables

The author of the stand is the Romani blacksmith Róbert Rigó from Dunajská Lužná. The stand was photographed in 2014 during the European Roma Blacksmithing Symposium. "This is a stand for either vegetables or fruits. It's not used much here. About ten years ago, we set up an American residence and there was a kitchen. We made large stands that were on the floor, but also smaller ones that were on the table." said R. Rigó.
Róbert Rigó is an artistic blacksmith from Dunajská Lužná. Hand-forged items come from his blacksmith shop and the Hephaeston blacksmith shop. From small candlesticks to large railings or dominant gates. They can be found all over Slovakia and in many countries around the world.
Róbert Rigó focuses on traditional works with an effort to preserve old Romani blacksmith motifs and techniques.
He is the chairman of OZ Charťikano, which organizes an event called the European Roma Forging Symposium.
In the past, Dunajská Lužná was called the Iron Village. The blacksmith craft has a tradition of more than 300 years and to this day there is the largest number of blacksmith workshops in the whole of Slovakia.

The author of The Bouquet is the Romani blacksmith Róbert Rigó from Dunajská Lužná. The Bouquet was photographed in 2014 during the European Roma Forging Symposium. "We made such bouquets for our customers in Italy. First they supplied us with their designs and semi-finished products from which we were to make it. Later we offered them our quality blacksmith's product and then they only wanted those," said R. Rigó.

The author of the chair is the Romani blacksmith Róbert Rigó from Dunajská Lužná. The chair was photographed in 2014 during the European Roma Forging Symposium. "These chairs can be seen in the historical part of Bratislava in various restaurants and cafes. This chair was sought our and ordered by entrepreneurs for their summer terraces. The load capacity of the chair is 200 kilograms," said R. Rigó.
