The monodrama produced by The Independent Theater Hungary. Screenplay: Marton Illés, Director: Tomás Szegedi, Acting: Emília Lovas. The story of a Romani girl growing up in a world consisting of her family, school, the wider society. A girl with special abilities can read the thoughts and memories of people around her. She does not want to follow the example of others, rather decides to live life in her way.
The story of the superhero is based on the true stories of Roma youth and the environment from which these youth come. These stories were recorded at workshops of the Independent Theater of Hungary organized under the name "Roma Heroes". Arpád Farkaš, hudobník, klavirista, absolvent Strednej umeleckej školy v Košiciach, v súčasnosti učiteľ hudby na Základnej umeleckej škole v Rožňave a Súkromnom konzervatóriu Dezidera Kardoša v Prešove. Arpád Farkaš je aktívnym hudobníkom, hrá na klavíri a pôsobí v niekoľkých hudobných zoskupeniach, medzi nimi aj Arpád Farkaš Kvartet. Špecializuje sa na džez a vystupuje na džezových festivaloch, v kluboch či na recepciách. Jeho repertoár tvoria jeho vlastné skladby ako aj nasledujúce džezové štandardy: Wayne Shorter: Footprints (1967); Miles Davis: So What (1959); George Gershwin: Summertime (1934); Jerome Kern: All The Things You Are (1944); Miles Davis: Solar (1954); Duke Ellington: Solitude (1934), a ďalšie.

The Unknown Colours of Personalities

Montage of the record made during opening of the paintings exhibition titled The Unknown Colours of Personalities, held on the occasion of World Roma Day, in the Regional Museum in Prešov. All 13 large format paintings depict the portraits of the world-known personalities of the Romani origin. The video montage brings the dialogue between the curator of the exhibition Júlia Fričová and the author of the paintings, Jozef Fečo, about the topics such as the Romani known personalities, painting techniqes, and plans of the artist for the future. The video contains also the short evaluation of paintings by the curator of the exhibition Júlia Fričová and high school teacher Juraj Mandel.

Jozef Patkaň

Jozef Patkaň is one of the most important Romani entrepreneurs in Slovakia. His business is also done in Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. The main field of his work is woodwork and construction. He employes Romani workers. He graduated from university and declares high importance of education for the Romani children. He comes from large Romani family, his father was a blacksmith. Nine siblings, one of the deceased, seven graduated from universities.

Rezbári Čičava Lukáš Jarka

A short story by the amateur woodcarver Lukáš Jarka about the way to woodcarving.
Lukáš Jarka comes from the village of Čičava. He got to the craft shop for woodcarving through his father, who already worked there as a forman, as a trained carpenter. In his story telling, he compares his work to the work of his father. He says he is more careful about the details than his father. In the video, he describes the specific production process of the woodcarved artifacts.
The story was created in 2013 during the documentation of the craft workshop ROMA ART Čičava. The sheltered workshop was established in 2012, initiated by Martin Mekel.

Sabrosa

The vocal-instrumental group Sabrosa was formed in the village of Raslavice in the district of Bardejov under the leadership of the manager František Gál. It was originally composed of three female singers and instrumentalists, whose repertoir consisted of mainly traditional Romani. Later, they also included modern compositions by well-known performers in the repertoire. At the time of recording, Sabrosa performed as a sisters‘ duo: Aneta Duždová - lead singer, Jana Duždová - guitar, singing and Júlia Cvoreňová - guitar, singing.

Milo Suchomel - Jazz in the City a hostia

Milo Suchomel is a teacher of music and active musician (saxophone), playing mainly various genres of jazz music. Between the years 1989 – 1995 studied at the State Conservatory in Zilina, from 1997 to 2000 attended the Conservatory in Bratislava. In 2001 he spent a year at study visit at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA. He is a regular member of several musical ensembles, composes concert compositions and music for film. His achievements brought him several prizes. The video is a recording of the concert Jazz in the City and Guests played in Babylon Club in Bratislava. The concert introduced the instrumental compositions, solo performance of the guests and singed songs.

Barbora Botošová - koncert Bratislava

Barbora Botošová is a daughter of Eugen Botoš Sn. (the founder of the Violin Orchestra Bratislava), the sister of Eugen Botoš Jr. (jazz piano player and composer) and the granddaughter of Ján Berky Mrenica Sn. (the concert master of SĽUK for 33 years). In 2012 Barbora Botošová graduated from the College of Performing Arts in Bratislava, violin studies with professor Peter Michalica. She took the composing course under the tutoring of Ľubica Čekovská. She is a freelance artists, playing in musical groups like the Bohémiens and Women Rebels. The video presents performance of Hungarian, Romanian, Jewish and Romani compositions, including the Slovak folk songs. The concert was recorded in the Estévéčka coffee house in Bratislava, on 7.2.2014. Tomáš Cseh – viola, Alexander Cseh – cimbalom, Ján Rigo – double bass, Barbora Botošova – violin.
