Štefan Cína's Folk Music Band: Ľoľi paradička / Red Tomato

Štefan Cína's Folk Music Band is a musical ensemble composed of four musicians, founded in 2007. The founder was Štefan Cína senior. Today, the band consists of: Martina Ďuriková Cínová (violin, vocals), Štefan Cína Jr. (accordion, guitar, vocals), Štefan Vansač (dulcimer, vocals) and Peter Pavlík (double bass, vocals). Štefan Cína's folk music repertoire consists of traditional songs from all over Eastern Slovakia, but also Central Slovak and West Slovak songs. The video records the band playing the Roma song: Ľoľi paradička / Red Tomato. This record was created on November 15, 2019 at one of a series of events organized by the State Scientific Library in Prešov under the title "Living Books".

Alexander Daško founded the Lavuta Private Elementary Art School in Banská Bystrica, he is a music teacher. Every year, A. Daško organizes the festival of Roma culture in Banská Bystrica, called Gypsy Fire.

Milo Suchomel is a teacher of music and active musician (saxophone), playing mainly various genres of jazz music. Between the years 1989 – 1995 he studied at the State Conservatory in Žilina, from 1997 to 2000 he attended the Conservatory in Bratislava. In 2001 he spent a year at study visit at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA. He is a regular member of several musical ensembles, composes concert compositions and music for film. His achievements brought him several prizes. The video is a recording of the concert Jazz in the City and Guests played in Babylon Club in Bratislava. The concert introduced the instrumental compositions, solo performance of the guests and singed songs.  The video offers the shortened version of the original concert – its second part broadcasted on RTVS in 2021.

Barbora Botošová - koncert Bratislava

Barbora Botošová is a daughter of Eugen Botoš Sn. (the founder of the Violin Orchestra Bratislava), the sister of Eugen Botoš Jr. (jazz piano player and composer) and the granddaughter of Ján Berky Mrenica Sn. (the concert master of SĽUK for 33 years). In 2012 Barbora Botošová graduated from the College of Performing Arts in Bratislava, violin studies with professor Peter Michalica. She took the composing course under the tutoring of Ľubica Čekovská. She is a freelance artists, playing in musical groups like the Bohémiens and Women Rebels. The video presents performance of Hungarian, Romanian, Jewish and Romani compositions, including the Slovak folk songs. The concert was recorded in the Estévéčka coffee house in Bratislava, on 7.2.2014. Tomáš Cseh – viola, Alexander Cseh – cimbalom, Ján Rigo – double bass, Barbora Botošova – violin.
