Peter Balogh Orchestra je hudobné teleso, ktoré vzniklo v roku 2017, zakladateľom a umeleckým šéfom je huslista Peter Balogh st. Členovia orchestra sú zo Slovenska a z Maďarska, koncertujú nielen na Slovensku, ale aj v rôznych krajinách Európy a Ázie. Repertoár orchestra zahŕňa široké spektrum žánrov, no hlavne filmovú hudbu, operetu, džez, slovenský a maďarský folklór a tzv. evergreeny.
Skladba s názvom Marel o Del, marel, patrí do žánru halgató - tradičného žánru rómskej hudby s pomalým tempom a melancholickou melódiou. Melódia vyjadruje pocity túžby, smútku a osamelosti. Halgató je dôležitou súčasťou rómskej kultúry a predstavuje hlboké vyjadrenie rómskej duše. Tento žáner je rozšírený najmä v rómskych komunitách v strednej a východnej Európe. Zaznamenaná skladba nemá známeho autora.
Nahrávka vznikla 16.8.2023 v M Aréne v Prešove, je súčasťou dokumentácie rómskych cimbalových kapiel v rámci činnosti DICRK.

Peter Balogh Orchestra February Love

Peter Balogh Orchestra is a musical ensemble founded in 2017, founded and artistic director is violinist Peter Balogh Sr. The members of the orchestra are from Slovakia and Hungary, they perform not only in Slovakia, but also in various countries of Europe and Asia. The orchestra's repertoire includes a wide range of genres, but mainly film music, operetta, jazz, Slovak and Hungarian folklore and so-called evergreens.
The composition February Love was composed by the Hungarian composer and violinist Járóka Sándor Jr. The instrumental composition presents a strong violin solo and the elements of Romani music characteristic of Hungary. The piece is popular for its emotional melody and virtuoso violin passages.
The recording was made on August 16, 2023 in M Arena in Prešov, it is part of the documentation of Roma cimbalom bands within the framework of DICRK activities.

Agata Siemaszko is a Polish singer and artist. She comes from the Polish region of Podhale. She studied ethnology, cultural anthropology and ethnomusicology. She has been interested in singing and music, especially folklore, since childhood. She has been active in several musical groups that produce the world music genre. Drahoslav Bango

Drahoslav Bango is a graduate of the Conservatory in Bratislava and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. In addition to his studies, he participated in and won several awards at major international competitions such as the Liszt Ferenc International Piano Competition Budapest, the International Novák Piano Competition, Danubia Talents in Vienna and many others. He had the opportunity to perform in concerts in Israel, Serbia, Romania, Hungary and other countries. He is dedicated to classical music, but also jazz and world music. He currently works as a teacher at the Bratislava Conservatory. Marek Michael Konček comes from the musicians' family, the Končeks, from the Turiec region. He grew up in Martin, he was lead to music since his early childhood. He studied at the Ján Levoslav Bella Conservatory in Banská Bystrica, completed his bachelor's degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, his master's degree at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and his postgraduate studies in Krakow. He is active in various musical groups and collaborations such as the Slovak Chamber Theater, the Slovak National Theater, the Nová Scéna, with artists from Slovakia and Poland. Mgr. Kristína Mojžišová, PhD. graduated from the Philosophical Faculty of the P.J. Šafarik University in Košice, achieving the master degree in teaching of the Slovak language and History. Since 1996 she is active in the field of journalism, beginning as the editor of the SME daily newspaper and, later on in the Roma Press Agency.
