Kristián Bandy studies the violin at the Catholic University in Ružomberok.He is a guest in the musical component of the Romathan theatre and leads the musical component of the Fijalečka ensemble at the Šrobárová Primary School in Prešov. He plays the viola in the family band.
Július Bandy graduated from the Private Music and Drama Conservatory in Košice. He plays the double bass in the family band. He is also a talented multi-instrumentalist.
Samuel Bandy is the leader of the family band. He studies violin at the Mikuláš Moyzes Primary Art School in Prešov. For his violin playing he has won several important awards at competitions in Slovakia.
The topic of the interview is their journey as musicians, education and identification with Roma culture.

Elena Lacková - Let's Get Introduced (The Debate in Handlová)

The video is the archived material of the NGO Jekhetane-Spolu. Its content is the recorded debate of the writer Elena Lacková which took place in the Library in Handlová; this event being a part of the series of events named Let's Get Introduced. The original video is recorded on VHS tape, the digital version was made in 2002 through digitalization of the tape. Some parts of the debate in the original record are edited, hence the utterance of sentences isn't finished properly. The object is provided only for studying purposes and research of Elena Lacková. The author of the video isn't identified.
Elena Lacková was born on March 22, 1921 in Veľký Šariš. She is one of the most important Romani writer. She wrote fot both children and adult readers. She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University in Prague (1970). She wrote prose as well as dramatic pieces. She was a lifelong activist and Romani advocate.

Roma and the Slovak National Uprising

The editorial office of the Slovak Radio broadcasting for national minorities, the studio Košice, provided space for a meeting of the students from Košice secondary schools and the historian and ethnologist Zuzana Kumanová, during which the topic of the Slovak National Uprising was discussed. According to Zuzana Kumanová, the Slovak National Uprising anniversaries are also an opportunity for remembrance of the heroic deeds of the Roma who risked and sacrificed their lives in the fight for freedom and democracy. Zuzana Kumanová presents Roma not only as victims of war murders, but also as heroes, partisans and fighters for freedom. She also introduced the topic of identity to the listeners. The event’s host was Erika Godlová, it took place on September 13, 2018 in the studio of RTVS on Moyzesova street no. 7 in Košice.

Vladimír Sendrei, a singer and frontman of the music group Sendreiovci and Kokavakere lavutara. He is the chairman of the Civic Association Latcho Drom and the main organizer of the music festival Balval Fest.
Alexander Daško comes from Čierny Balog. He is a musician, together with his band became well-known not only in Slovakia. He attended the Conservatory in Žilina, later graduated from the Pedagogical Fakulty of Matej Bel University. In Banská Bystrica, for many years already, he has been organising the festival Cigánsky oheň (Gypsy Fire); he established and manages his own music school.
The main topic of the interview is their experience gathered in cooperation with foreign musicians. Vladimír Sendrei cooperated with Hans Zimmer who picked him and the band to play his music in the film Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows.
Alexander Daško speaks about Goran Bregovič and their common performance at the concert in Banská Bystrica. The other topics are contemporary Romani music in Slovakia, music inspirations and plans for future.

The film Loli Paradička is a romantic comedy about the love of Veronca and the goods seller at fair, Milan. They both are disabled in their way - Milan has no leg, Veronka is a Romani girl. It does not prevent them from living through their sincere, ridiculously sad story, full of hope, love and humor. Screenplay and direction: Richard Staviarsky, Viťo Staviarsky. Music: Štefan Cína and Viťo Staviarsky. The main roles were played by Michal Iľkanin and Kamila Mitrášová. It won the Audience Award at the Art Film Fest festival, and in 2019 it was the most successful Slovak film. The guests of the event within the series of events called the Living Books, implemented by the State Scientific Library in Prešov, were the creators Richard Staviarsky and Marka Staviarska (the producer) and the actress who played the main character, Kamila Mitrášová. The musical guest was the Folk Music Band of Štefan Cína. Štefan Cína is the co-author of the music soundtrack to the film, the band recorded most of the original songs.
