Lomnické čháve is the rom-pop band with Milan Polhoš as the lead musician and singer and managed by Tomáš Slebodník. Their repertoir includes mainly the Romani folk songs and songs from other nations. The band's performance is in pop style, using electronic music instruments. The video documents the interview with the members of the band and their manager which was recorden on July 8, 2020 in Prešov, in the Center for Independent Culture Wave.

Maristella - About Family and Elena Lacková

Sister Maristella, by civic name Mária Kačová, is a nun of the Congregatio Jesu, the catholic female congregation known by popular name as „The English Virgins“. Sister Maristella lives in Prešov, helping the abused women, mothers with children and homeless people. She organizes charity where people donate food and clothing. For decades she has been an organist in the concathedral of St. Nicholas in Prešov. In 2009 she received the City of Prešov Award. Her father was a musician, a member of The Dukla Folk Art Ensemble (PUĽS). She is the niece of the first Romani writer in Slovakia, Elena Lacková.

Štefan Bučko

Štefan Bučko comes from Banská Bystrica. He is a member of the folk music group of Alexander Daško, where he plays the accordion. For more than twenty years he played and sang in well-known music halls in Slovakia. He put his music career aside and began working as a bus driver. Now he perceives music more as a hobby, playing and singing sporadically. In the interview, he talks about his views about music, his family and Romani folklore.

Ľudovít Petík pochádza zo známej muzikantskej rodiny, kde bolo zvykom hrať a popri tom mať v rukách remeslo. Sám Ľudovít sa venoval hudbe a prakticky celý život, okrem toho pracoval 45 rokov ako vodič, z toho ostatných 30 rokov riadil autobusy Mestskej hromadnej dopravy v Prešove. Vo svojom rozprávaní sa vracia do svojich detských liet, spomína na rozprávania svojho starého otca a otca, ktorí prežili obdobie prvej a druhej svetovej vojny.
Rozprávanie je členené do šiestich častí: PRVÁ SVETOVÁ VOJNA; STARÍ RODIČIA – ŽIVOT V RAŽŇANOCH; STARÍ RODIČIA – PÔVOD STAREJ MAMY; DRUHÁ SVETOVÁ VOJNA; OTEC AKO PARTIZÁN; PRIMÁŠ V KONCENTRAČNOM TÁBORE.

Live Book - Teri Čikoš

Teri Čikoš comes from Bratislava based family of musician dedicated to music for generations already. She carries on and continues the tradition successfully. She plays the piano, guitar, she is a student of Music and Dramatic Arts at the Conservatory. In the same time she is a teacher of singing at the Elementary School of Arts. Her single titled Pozri (Look) achieved a place among top ten most played songs on Slovak radio stations. She gives concerts with her own music group, moderates and keeps making a well designed place for herself in the field of pop culture in Slovakia.

Arpád Farkaš, hudobník, klavirista, absolvent Strednej umeleckej školy v Košiciach, v súčasnosti učiteľ hudby na Základnej umeleckej škole v Rožňave a Súkromnom konzervatóriu Dezidera Kardoša v Prešove. Arpád Farkaš je aktívnym hudobníkom, hrá na klavíri a pôsobí v niekoľkých hudobných zoskupeniach, medzi nimi aj Arpád Farkaš Kvartet. Špecializuje sa na džez a vystupuje na džezových festivaloch, v kluboch či na recepciách. Jeho repertoár tvoria jeho vlastné skladby ako aj nasledujúce džezové štandardy: Wayne Shorter: Footprints (1967); Miles Davis: So What (1959); George Gershwin: Summertime (1934); Jerome Kern: All The Things You Are (1944); Miles Davis: Solar (1954); Duke Ellington: Solitude (1934), a ďalšie.

Jozef Patkaň is one of the most important Romani entrepreneurs in Slovakia. His business is also done in Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. The main field of his work is woodwork and construction. He employes Romani workers. He graduated from university and declares high importance of education for the Romani children. He comes from large Romani family, his father was a blacksmith. Nine siblings, one of the deceased, seven graduated from universities.
