Gemer-Malohont Museum in Rimavská Sobota

The Museum in Rimavská Sobota, the fifth oldest museum in Slovakia, was established in 1882. It maps the territory of the multicultural Gemer - Malohont, of which the Roma were a natural part. There has been an exposition of Romani culture since 1976. Here can be found a valuable publication titled Gypsies in Slovakia by Emília Horváthová, but also the album of Romani musicians published in Budapest in 1898, the second edition of 1927 contains a graphic of Cinka Panna and a biography of one of the most important Romani lead violinists - Márton Dombi, who came from Gemer.

Live Book - Teri Čikoš

Teri Čikoš comes from Bratislava based family of musician dedicated to music for generations already. She carries on and continues the tradition successfully. She plays the piano, guitar, she is a student of Music and Dramatic Arts at the Conservatory. In the same time she is a teacher of singing at the Elementary School of Arts. Her single titled Pozri (Look) achieved a place among top ten most played songs on Slovak radio stations. She gives concerts with her own music group, moderates and keeps making a well designed place for herself in the field of pop culture in Slovakia.

The song called Lomnické čháve, They Call Us by the band Lomnické čháve is a czardasz song. The melody of the song is built on a folklore basis, well known and popular in the Roma community. The text is sung partly in Romani and partly in Slovak. The authors of the text are the members of the band. They consider this song to be something like their anthem or jingle, which announces their performances and talks about their goal, which is to please and entertain people.

Lomnické čháve – Ona ľúbi pomaranče (She Loves Oranges)

The song She Loves Oranges by Lomnické čháve is originally a song with the same title by the Polish group After Party, published in 2016. Like the original song in the Polish language (Ona lubi pomarańcze), its cover version in Slovak is a dance song with techno-pop and ska elements. Members of the Lomnické čháve group interpret this song with the original title, with Slovak lyrics, but in specifically Romani way of interpretation.

Sister Maristella

Sister Maristella, by civic name Mária Kačová, is a nun of the Congregatio Jesu, the catholic female congregation known by popular name as „The English Virgins“. Sister Maristella lives in Prešov, helping the abused women, mothers with children and homeless people. She organizes charity where people donate food and clothing. For decades she has been an organist in the concathedral of St. Nicholas in Prešov. In 2009 she received the City of Prešov Award. She is the niece of the first Romani writer in Slovakia, Elena Lacková.

Milan Polhoš

Arpád Farkaš, hudobník, klavirista, absolvent Strednej umeleckej školy v Košiciach, v súčasnosti učiteľ hudby na Základnej umeleckej škole v Rožňave a Súkromnom konzervatóriu Dezidera Kardoša v Prešove. Arpád Farkaš je aktívnym hudobníkom, hrá na klavíri a pôsobí v niekoľkých hudobných zoskupeniach, medzi nimi aj Arpád Farkaš Kvartet. Špecializuje sa na džez a vystupuje na džezových festivaloch, v kluboch či na recepciách. Jeho repertoár tvoria jeho vlastné skladby ako aj nasledujúce džezové štandardy:  Wayne Shorter: Footprints (1967); Miles Davis: So What (1959); George Gershwin: Summertime (1934); Jerome Kern: All The Things You Are (1944); Miles Davis: Solar (1954); Duke Ellington: Solitude (1934), a ďalšie.
