Tomáš Hrustič from the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava presents the publication Black and White Worlds / Roma in the Majority Society in Slovakia. Two different nations, two different views, two worlds. Two different worlds that live side by side. The Roma and the others. These facts also contributed to the formation of the title of the publication Black and White Worlds. Domestic and foreign experts from the field of Roma studies looked into these worlds and brought the results of their own research. Ivan Akimov, the musician with a Russian roots, growing up in France, living in Kežmarok, Slovak republic, professional leader of artistic ensemble for children Kesaj čhave. For his long lasting work in an artistic field, he was awarded by the Ambassador of France to Slovakia and he obtained the National order of merit, statute of Knight.

Smithery as a tradition of the family was started by Stefan Rac. The craft is further carried by his son and both his grandchildren. The video presents the dialogue between Stefan Rac and his granddaughter Barbora Racova. They describe blacksmith's work, the products made, production process as well as their way towards the craft itself. The video also shows works of Stefan Rac, his granddaughter (Barbora Racova) and his grandson (Pavol Rac).

The Live Book - Women for Women

The Live Book - Women for Women was the event which took place in the Wave Club in Presov on 12th of April, 2017 in order to celebrate The World Roma Day. The guests were Mgr. Ildiko Gorova and Mgr. Gabriela Gaborova from the Vtackovce village. I. Gorova is a teacher at the local elementary school, G. Gaborova is the coordinator of the field social work, employed by the Office of Plenipotentiary of the SR Government for Romani communities.
The music guest was The Arpi Farkas Jazz Trio (Arpad Farkas - the piano, Angela Farkas - the singer, Adrian Sajko - double-bass)

Roman Goroľ - Cold Touch of Lost Morning

Roman Gorol was born on 15th of August, 1969, in Vranov nad Toplou. He is married, has three sons, works as a teaching assistant at the Elementary School in the village Caklov, where he lives. Roman Gorol graduated from the Pedagogical Faculty of the Presov University in Presov, as the bachelor of pedagogy. Roman Gorol loves literature, both poetry and prose. In his young years he began writing short poems about life, emotions, love. His art of word is present in the book of poems titled “Cold Touch of Lost Morning”, published by the State Research Library in Presov, 2016, illustrated by Martin Kaleja Januv. Four poems of the collection were translated in Romani and English languages by Erika Godlova. The video recorded on December 1st, 2016, introduces the author of the book of poems, some of his poems as well as the illustrator Martin Kaleja Januv, whose talent in fine arts is also pictured in the video. The Romani Literature Club

The Romani Literature Club (ROLIK) is the association of the authors of poetry and prose who are inspired by life of Roma. ROLIK was founded in 2009 in Banská Bystrica, based on the initiative of the Association of the Romani Initiatives, its founding member is Mgr. Marián Balog. The aim of the club is to present the literary works of Romanies and the ones about Romanies. The discussion with the members of the Romani Literature Club was done in Banská Bystrica, on April 29, 2016. The video records the discussions with Ivana Cicková, Mgr. Marián Balog, Milan Berko and Zlatica Rusová. The discussion provides information about the works of the individual authors, their first step in writing. The discussion takes a form of the dialogue between the respective authors and Mgr. Marián Balog. In the discussion the participants mention the names of the prominent personalities known from the Romani cultural and social environment, their significance for the Romani literarz and informational and academic work.
