Baro mariben (Great War)

Baro mariben means Great War in Roma language. A short documentary film about the persecutions and difficult lives of the Roma in Slovakia during World War II. It describes the personal stories of the Roma who survived the dramatic moments of war. Through individual environments, which were the scenes of persecution or murder, the authors searched for today's memory of people. The film presents the theme of the Roma Holocaust in Slovakia, which is still almost unknown in today's society.

Romathan - The Spririt of Music and Singing

Tomáš Hrustič from the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava presents the publication Black and White Worlds / Roma in the Majority Society in Slovakia. Romathan - Lost Love

The main motive is the forbidden love of a rural nobleman and a Roma woman. The story emphasis is on fatality and conflicting situations while following the further fate of the unlikely couple's daughter.

Concert Luna

LUNA is the girls only band from Martin. Their repertoir covers both Romani and Slovak folk songs, many times they play also pop music in folk arrangment or classical music. These are the members of the band: Petra Cickova - accordeon, Božena Cickova - double bass, Michael Kazarova - violin, Stanislava Cickova - singer. The recording of the band performance was in June 7, 2013.

Concert: Karel Adam

The concert for celebration of the World Roma Day, organized in November 27, 2017 in the Wave Club, Hlavna st., Presov. Karel Adam was the principal conductor of the Romathan Theater. Together with his colleagues he prepared the program consisting of instrumental and vocal-instrumental compositions, both from Romani traditional folk and their own works. The listeners may listen to halgato, czardasz as well as to classical music pieces.
Karel Adam – violin, Eugen Bunda – cimbalom, Vladimir A+B12dam – second violin, Viktor Adam – double bass, Dasa Polakova – singer, Zaneta Stipakova – singer.

Sabrosa - the Concert, Scala, Presov

The vocal and instrumental group Sabrosa started in the village Raslavice, district of Bardejov. Originally three singers and players, currently Sabrosa is the duo of sisters: Aneta Duzdova - the lead singer, Jana Duzdova - the guitar player, vocals.
The profile concert of Sabrosa was recorded on June 14, 2013 in Presov, in the former cinema named Scala.
The musicians supporting the Sabrosa was the folk group Cinovci from Vranov nad Toplou.

The Live Book - Women for Women

The Live Book - Women for Women was the event which took place in the Wave Club in Presov on 12th of April, 2017 in order to celebrate The World Roma Day. The guests were Mgr. Ildiko Gorova and Mgr. Gabriela Gaborova from the Vtackovce village. I. Gorova is a teacher at the local elementary school, G. Gaborova is the coordinator of the field social work, employed by the Office of Plenipotentiary of the SR Government for Romani communities.
The music guest was The Arpi Farkas Jazz Trio (Arpad Farkas - the piano, Angela Farkas - the singer, Adrian Sajko - double-bass)

Balvalfest (The Wind Festival)

Every year the organisers of the festival invite the performers both from Slovakia and other countries. The video is the cut of the live performances presenting traditional and popular Romani music, the interview with the festival organisor Vladimir Sendrei is added to the final edition.

The Gypsy Devils - The Concert

The Gypsy Devils as a group of Romani musicians report 1991 as the year of birth of this formation. They are characterized by a excellent, even virtuoso interpretation of Romani music from the urban environment, classical world music, but they do not avoid cooperation with contemporary artists known from popular music. The orchestra performs often both in Slovakia and abroad, it has already played on five continents. At the concert in Prešov on 24.10.2013 in the Cinema Scala the orchestra members playing there were: singing and violoncello - Silvia Šarköziová, viola - Jozef Farkaš, double bass - Tibor Lévai, solo doublebass - Alexander Mihok, violin - Emil Hasala, clarinet and tarogato - Zoltán Grunza , cimbalom - Ernest Šarközi, primash (violin) - Štefan "Picur" Banyák.
