The Live Book - Women for Women

The Live Book - Women for Women was the event which took place in the Wave Club in Presov on 12th of April, 2017 in order to celebrate The World Roma Day. The guests were Mgr. Ildiko Gorova and Mgr. Gabriela Gaborova from the Vtackovce village. I. Gorova is a teacher at the local elementary school, G. Gaborova is the coordinator of the field social work, employed by the Office of Plenipotentiary of the SR Government for Romani communities.
The music guest was The Arpi Farkas Jazz Trio (Arpad Farkas - the piano, Angela Farkas - the singer, Adrian Sajko - double-bass)

Balvalfest (The Wind Festival)

The video recording of the 13th Romani festival, recorded in 2013 in Kokava upon Rimavica. The festival presents traditional Romani music as well as modern musical genres. Every year the organisers of the festival invite the performers both from Slovakia and other countries. The video is the cut of the live performances presenting traditional and popular Romani music, the interview with the festival organisor Vladimir Sendrei is added to the final edition.

The Gypsy Devils - The Concert

The Gypsy Devils as a group of Romani musicians report 1991 as the year of birth of this formation. They are characterized by a excellent, even virtuoso interpretation of Romani music from the urban environment, classical world music, but they do not avoid cooperation with contemporary artists known from popular music. The orchestra performs often both in Slovakia and abroad, it has already played on five continents. At the concert in Prešov on 24.10.2013 in the Cinema Scala the orchestra members playing there were: singing and violoncello - Silvia Šarköziová, viola - Jozef Farkaš, double bass - Tibor Lévai, solo doublebass - Alexander Mihok, violin - Emil Hasala, clarinet and tarogato - Zoltán Grunza , cimbalom - Ernest Šarközi, primash (violin) - Štefan "Picur" Banyák.

Roman Goroľ - Cold Touch of Lost Morning

Roman Gorol was born on 15th of August, 1969, in Vranov nad Toplou. He is married, has three sons, works as a teaching assistant at the Elementary School in the village Caklov, where he lives. Roman Gorol graduated from the Pedagogical Faculty of the Presov University in Presov, as the bachelor of pedagogy. Roman Gorol loves literature, both poetry and prose. In his young years he began writing short poems about life, emotions, love. His art of word is present in the book of poems titled “Cold Touch of Lost Morning”, published by the State Research Library in Presov, 2016, illustrated by Martin Kaleja Januv. Four poems of the collection were translated in Romani and English languages by Erika Godlova. The video recorded on December 1st, 2016, introduces the author of the book of poems, some of his poems as well as the illustrator Martin Kaleja Januv, whose talent in fine arts is also pictured in the video. Jozef Ferko and Dasha Pollakova

The performance was documented on the Small Stage of the Theatre of Alexander Duchnovič in Prešov. The performance contains Romani songs traditional, as well as self-composed by Ondrej Ferko, Jozef Ferko and by the band Kmeťoband. The songs, both solo and duets, are sung by Dáša Polláková and Jozef Ferko. Author and performer of a guitar accompaniment is Jozef Ferko. Both of the interprets belong among the active members of the Romathan Theatre in Košice.
